The Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk is the administrator for Explore West Norfolk and Walk West Norfolk, is its data controller, and is registered as a data user and computer bureau under the Data Protection Act 1998.
What information do we collect?
The Explore West Norfolk website and mobile application and Walk West Norfolk mobile application does not capture or store personal data from visitors, other than to log the user’s IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit to the site and the nature of the browser used. With user permission, the mobile application collects location in order to display the user’s location on the map – Google Maps or Apple Maps. This information is only used for administration of the site system and in the compilation of statistics used by the Council’s Tourism team to monitor the usage of the site and mobile applications. A user can remove the data at any time by clicking the 'Delete All Data' button that is at the bottom of the About Page.

We will endeavour to ensure all information held is current, accurate and held securely.
